Head Lice
Head lice are still around — they have stuck with us for centuries.
They don’t spread disease, and they don’t show up because someone is dirty or a bad parent. But they still cause a lot of stress and embarrassment.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Lice can’t fly or jump — they crawl fast from one head to another using their tiny claws.
- Some people feel itchy, but others don’t. The only way to know if your child has lice is to check their head regularly.
- Check once a week, and every day for a week after sleepovers.
