Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services advises the public of a temporary change in the availability of laboratory and X-ray services at U.S. Memorial Health Centre in St. Lawrence due to human resource challenges:

• Blood collection is available by appointment from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Fridays.
• Medical imaging (X-ray) services are available by appointment from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Appointments may be made by calling 709-873-2220. These temporary changes will be in place until Friday, October 27, 2023.

For urgent X-ray or blood collection services, patients may proceed to the emergency department at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre.
