Being safe is part of a healthy way of life.  However, unintentional injuries are the leading cause of death for ages 1 to 34 years, and the sixth leading cause of death among all ages combined.* Unintended injuries are more commonly known as accidents.**

Injuries can happen to anyone!  One of the most important things you can do to protect yourself and your family from injury is to have safety measures put in place. There are things you can do to stay safe at home, in the community and while at work. It’s everyone’s responsibility to prevent injuries.
