Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services, Labrador-Grenfell Zone, is reassuring the communities on the Northern Peninsula that emergency health services continue to be available to residents during the floodings occurring in the area.

Residents are reminded to call 9-1-1 in cases of medical emergencies or to proceed to the nearest health-care facility, if able. Ambulances are available for response on both sides of the flooded area and will continue to respond to emergency calls.

NL Health Services continues to work with provincial Emergency Health Services and municipalities to ensure provision of emergency response during this time.
